Property management for second homeowners in Abaco.
We look after the house while you're away — and have it ready before you land.
Over 10 years caring for multi-million-dollar homesA house on these cays doesn't wait for its owner. Salt air, humidity, a storm season that runs June through November, and a shipping chain measured in weeks all move faster than a quarterly visit — so we work on the house continuously, and report every time we're in it.
For owners who rent
Short-term rental management for Abaco owners — from building the listing to greeting the guest and resetting the house afterward. Same standard of care, with the calendar and the numbers managed alongside it.
Photography direction, copy, and a listing built to convert on Airbnb and VRBO.
Inquiries, check-in, questions at 9pm, and the problems guests don't tell owners about.
Rates set to Abaco's real seasons — high winter, hurricane season, regatta and holiday weeks.
Cleaning, linens, consumables and an inventory check between every stay.
The same vendor coordination, quoting and supervision — before a guest ever sees the fault.
Furnishing and refresh guidance for homes being readied to rent or to sell.
Who looks after your house
"The point of a second home is that arriving feels easy. That only happens if someone is here the rest of the year."
Latera Aitken
Owner, Lux Property ManagementLux Property Management is owned and run by Latera Aitken — a hospitality graduate, based in Marsh Harbour. She is on island year-round, knows the contractors who actually show up, and is the person you reach — not a call center, and not a schedule that goes quiet in September.
Alongside her is her husband, Mark Aitken, with more than ten years in high-end property management across Abaco and Bimini and a background in engineering and landscaping. Between them, the two sides of looking after a home here: the standard a house is kept to, and the systems that keep it standing. Generators, cisterns, water and power, docks and grounds are understood in-house rather than guessed at.
Lux is a husband-and-wife business. The people who answer your call are the people who do the work.

At your convenience, with or without you there. We photograph the house inside and out and check the systems that fail first in this climate.
